In my work I question values, manipulating imagery and mediums to create objects and images that transcend their banal function and give the viewer a form of escapism.
All my projects come under the wider umbrella of society and how cultural change is perceived.
The struggle between fulfilling inner intuitive desires whilst maintaining a ‘civilised’ existence is something that I discuss through a variety of figurative and abstract visuals. With an awareness of society and its class differentiation becoming ever more present in a time of economic decline I question the effect of the celebration of new technology and consumerism on our sense of identity and freedom.
